Cami and Pencil Skirt

Welcome to Fall my loves. The air is just a bit cooler but, not cool enough where I can not rock my far well summer and hello fall skirt set. I have always loved pencil skirts for they can be made with many different fabrics and sew together so easily. I usually make a jacket to accompany my skirt however, this time around I wanted a cute cami that can be dressed up or dressed down. I still may make a jacket or just enjoy these two pieces as is until I have to put them up until spring. This time around I wanted a gathered pencil skirt. Therefore, to accomplish this look added 12 inches to the desired length of my self drafted skirt pattern. Then I gathered the fabric on both sides of the skirt which help create the gathers you see in the middle. I learned this method while watching Nadira037 | Ruched Maxi Pencil Skirt Tutorial on YouTube.

It really helped me figure out how much length I needed to add to my skirt pattern to get the desired look after I gathered the sides of my skirt. I like how it turned out.

In my search for a cami pattern with no bust darts I came across the Ogden Cami Pdf by True Bias. I love this pattern. It sews up quickly and is just what I wanted.

Until next time Enjoy Your Day!!!!!!!
